What is mediation

How we do approach mediation

Mediation starts with an intake interview, usually by telephone or via video calling (Zoom or Skype). We first note the names and contact details. As soon as possible after that, we will have a personal first inventory interview with each of you.

We also request you to sign the mediation agreement. In this you declare your willingness to make a serious effort to find a solution and you promise secrecy for everything that comes up in the mediation.

Then one or more joint sessions follow in which the mediator acts as the discussion leader, organizer and facilitator. The outcome is preferably recorded in an agreement.
